About
SHIP (Services and Housing in the Province) is one of the largest supportive housing providers in Ontario. SHIP have been supporting vulnerable individuals in our community experiencing mental health issues, homelessness and substance use for over 30 years. They began as a small, grass roots organization, supporting 8 individuals and, out of need, have since grown to supporting more than 4000 clients in over 1200 units.

Your impact
SHIP works closely with clients in co-designing our services and understanding the needs outside of the housing and service provided. Through Client Experience surveys, clients have shared the need for increased transportation support and their challenges with outfitting their new apartments upon move-in. Current funding models simply do not adequately cover all of the essential needs of the individuals we support. Clients would most benefit from additional transportation and housing supports.
Your support will assist SHIP in providing the following:
Minivan for hundreds of of clients
Assist in the funding of one minivan for SHIP programs supporting food security, transportation, wellness, medical appointments, housing and employment searches and community engagement
100 New Home Start Up Kits
Includes: Beds, dressers, sofas, tables & chairs, kitchen supplies, pantry items, microwaves
